The Shocking Truth About GOD!

I receive a prayer everyday from my Mary Kay Director and I would like to share the one that I received from Yvette Alexander today.

(Yes, I am a Mary Kay consultant, so I can get my own product, which I totally love at a 50% discount)  Have to love that!

Yvette’s Scripture for the day is: “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”
John 15:2

What does God mean by Pruning us?  This is what she says.

In life, we all go through a pruning process.  God will prune our lives so that we can bear much fruit.  To ‘prune’ means something is cut away, something is removed.  In other words, maybe a good friend that you counted on moved to another city.  Maybe a business shut down that you were connected to, or a relationship went a different direction than you where hoping.

Friend, God knows what you need in your life in order to grow and flourish.  Sometimes when things happen that we don’t understand; we have to just trust that He is working behind the scenes preparing you for increase, preparing you to go to another level in life.  Don’t put a question mark where God has placed a period.

When you’re going through transition, don’t get bitter.  Don’t get down and think it’s the end.  Don’t start thinking that you’re a failure.

Have the attitude:

“God I let this go knowing that it was only temporary provision, and what You have in my future will be greater than what I’m letting go of.”

If you will accept the change and stay in faith, God will open new doors.  He will bring new opportunities, new friendships, and take you to another level in life to his glory!

Yvette’s pray to me today is this and I feel honored to pass it on to you.

“Father, thank You for loving me enough to work in my life.  Today I release the things I don’t understand into Your hands.  I believe that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf.  I believe that you have good things in store for my future.  I choose to wait on You and trust You now and forevermore in Jesus name. Amen

"All things are possible through God"

With that said I would like you to remember that some day’s  can be a pruning day for God, so if that relationship is falling apart or you find yourself a little down on life he is preparing you for a much brighter and happier future, so “let go and let God.”

Gods’ Blessing to you,

Debbie

  1. Dear Debbie –

This post brought to mind the old joke –

“Do you want to make God laugh? Tell him your plans.”

It is very hard when you are going through a challenge in your life – but when we look back – there was always a benefit in what happened. Sometimes it takes a while before you are aware of it.

We get into trouble when we try to control. Other than the normal acts to protect ourselves or our loved ones, It is best then to surrender It is a great relief to let go when we just don’t now what to do and trust in the goodness of the Universal Intelligence – which is what I think is God.

When we let go of the carousel of life and stop pushing, we find out it has its own motor.

    • Hi Corinne,

Very good Corinne. First of all “Do you want to make God laugh? Tell him your plans.” This is very true. what he might say while laughing, “you go, but let me know when you need my help.”

And than, “When we let go of the carousel of life and stop pushing, we find out it has its own motor.” i could not have said it any better. Thank you very much for adding to this post. It is beautiful.
      Blessing to you,
      Debbie

  2. I don’t know God as well as your friend Yvette does. Father of everything – His presence I can grasp and understand, but how He thinks – I neither can, must nor should understand. A question of IQ no doubt. That said, I also see it as you do – life is what happens AFTER we made our plans. The purpose of life is to surprise us. Sometimes it feels like being in a movie, so weird it makes you wonder, is it really happening? And it’s comforting to know it all makes sense, that there’s a maker behind all of it.

    • Hi Beat,

Yes, it is very comforting to know that there is a maker behind all things. When we mess up there is someone there to pick us back up and put us on the right track. I love watching the little miracles he can pull off. What is the hard part is when he waits until the last moment to give you an answer or see the big picture.

I do know what you mean when you say, “Life can feel like a movie.” I have felt the same way at times. Thank you for sharing and blessing to you,
      Debbie

    Debbie,

Everything happens for a reason in life – even those times in our life that we can’t understand what is happening – it states in the bible in all things give thanks. So even in the midst of our pruning we should be giving thanks – that’s the hard part. How can we thank HIM when we are feeling uncomfortable, or what something so bad that we lose focus on HIM?!

I can tell you one thing – I am so glad that pruning is in full swing here!

I really enjoyed your post today my friend,
    In love, light and trust,
    Nancy

    • Hi Nancy,

Thank you Nancy, glad that you enjoyed it. Sometimes it is hard to understand, and that is when we just go on faith. Just as a child goes on faith, knowing that the parent is going to take care of them. When i stop and think about it, faith is all a baby can hold on too. When i was a child I had my parents to love me, protect me and help when I needed help. After becoming adult I depend on God as i did my parents when I was a child. Only difference is God doesn’t make mistakes. LOL
      Blessing to you,
      Debbie

  4. Hi Debbie,

  5. Hi Debbie,

I love this post! Depending on God that he is going to give us the best no matter what is crucial in life. God always wants the best for us and he wants to help us, but we have to really want that “good thing” for ourselves. Once we focus on our goals, do whatever is needed, visualize and depend on him, everything will turnout for the best. Thank you for sharing my friend

  6. What an excellent reminder for me today! I was recently bemoaning the loss of two decades long friendships. Nothing big happened. I just realized that for years, I’ve been the only one making contact and holding on to friendships they moved on from years ago. It’s hard for me to let go. Your post reminded me that God intends all things to work together for my good. Letting go makes room for new things in my life. Thanks for your reassuring and comforting post today.

    • Hi Galen,

Yes, letting go does make room for the new. I use this to when i am de junking my house. When cleaning out closets, dresser, etc it is making room for new. Life does work this way when it comes to people. Everyone crosses our path for a reason. We learn from others and they learn from us. This can keep a balance with life when looked at it in the rear view mirror.
thank you for sharing your past friendships and now knowing it is ok to move on.
      Blessing to you Galen,
      Debbie

  7. Hi Debbie,

This was a very powerful post and I could feel my faith getting stronger as I was reading it.

We don’t need to worry. We don’t need to be afraid. We don’t need to be anxious. Whatever we are suffering, the pain will pass because God will always be there, and trusting this fully as you said, will create new opportunities, friendships and experiences for us.

    Thank you for writing Debbie.

  9. Ahh, a “pruning day”… I love that, Debbie. It reminds me of the play, Richard II, William Shakespeare
has a gardener say, “We lop away that bearing boughs may live.” When we are wiling to “let go and let god” we can see the faulty opinions that need pruning, we lop away at all the NO and WOE, sprouting in our garden of thoughts, so our natural attitude of WOW may grow and thrive.

    • Hi Rob,

Very good rob. ” When we are wiling to “let go and let god” we can see the faulty opinions that need pruning, we lop away at all the NO and WOE, sprouting in our garden of thoughts, so our natural attitude of WOW may grow and thrive.” What a beautiful garden we can have!

It is amazing the WOW that begin to grow in the garden when we learn how to let go and let the pruning begin.
Thank you for adding to the post with your deep perception and thinking. I do admire it and always look for ward to hearing your take on a post.
      Blessing to you always,
      Debbie
