I couldn’t say it better myself!

I came across this video from a friend of mine at: “Jungle of Life” and I just have to share it with you.

I always like to enjoy those little things about my loved ones that I would miss if they were not around and this movie tells it like it is.

Sometime I like to throw in a little humor when it comes to those imperfections. Here is my story about hubbies little fluffs and my own I have to admit.

We are big football fans. We are lying in bed and there he goes and then comes the touchdown. Yes, he yells “Touchdown.” If it wasn’t that good I let him know it was only a field goal. What really gets scary is when he tells me that the quarter has ended and we need to change sides. They game ends there. LOL

Anyway, back to being a little serious: when we see those little imperfections in the ones we love, take the time to enjoy them. As she says in the video, “She would love to hear those sounds again.”

Enjoy those little imperfections for tomorrow they could be taken away.

Today I challenge you to cherish those little imperfections of the one you love and ask yourself, “Would I miss that if I couldn’t see or hear it anymore?”
Blessing to you all,
Debbie

  1. Hi Debbie,
Very good video and very insightful. We don’t have to cover or hide our imperfections any more. That is for superficial people to do.

Nothing is truly perfect, and that is truly perfection at work 🙂 when we learn to take things for what they are.

  3. Debbie,

I’m crying (I’m such an old softie!).

Does make you think about how silly little imperfections annoy us…and they shouldn’t.

Next time Joy ‘does hers’, I’m going to celebrate!

    • Hi Andrew,

Sorry didn’t mean to make you cry (old softies are nice though) I am sure Joy would enjoy it if you did celebrate “Her’s”. We are all human and the bodies work the same. By the way I can make a few touchdown with mine. Steve always concedes that it is a touchdown. Just tells me not to make it 14 points.

Those little imperfection are to enjoy and not to annoy!
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. They did put a smile on my face.
      Blessing,
      Debbie

  4. I think I must have some dust in my eyes after watching that video. Thanks for sharing that, so true.

    • Dust in your eye Joel, that is good. Some people do say I can be a little windy, but I didn’t think I was that good, to blow the dust half way across the USA. Wow! LOL
Have a great day and blessing to you.

Beautiful reminder, Debbie. It certainly changed my perspective on a couple of things.

  7. Debbie,
Great to see you sharing this here – I was really touched when I first saw this video. We can have fun with the imperfections of our loved ones…but they will be so missed if that person is no longer here…

    • Thank you Lance for bring it to my attention. I hope you didn’t mind me sharing it. It is just beautiful. I remember my mother always complaining about my fathers boots sitting by his chair. I told her “mom if he wasn’t around to leave them there you would miss them.” Some years later she told me she would give anything to see them sitting there one more time.

Those little things are the best.
Blessing Lance and have a great day and week,
      Debbie

  8. I had just watched this video with my friend. After watching, we paused for awhile, and he said “She made a nice speech”, I said “yes she did”. Honestly, my eyes got a little teary, I was trying to recover. Made me appreciate the imperfections of my love ones as well as the things they do that annoy me. I often complain about their imperfections and it made me realized that these are also the reasons why they are special to me.

  9. ohhhhhh…. I just read that if you want a successful happy life to spend time and money building memories, not buying stuff… as always you remind us how to life happily.

  10. That’s a good one, Debbie. I enjoy your levity and humor. Indeed, life is just too dear and precious to choose anything other than living from our Authentic-Self – snorts and grunts included.

    • Hi rob,

I feel that you always need to throw in a little humor. Yes, there are times to be serious, but a little humor never hurt anything. Living your Authentic Self makes for a much better life. Why try to lie to yourself.
Thank you rob for sharing your thoughts, they are always appreciated.
      Blessing to you,
      Debbie

  11. I have watched this video several times and still love it. Thanks for sharing this great video. 🙂

  12. You’re so playful! Always a guarantee of a smile when I visit you on your blog. I don’t think there’s an equivalent “touchdown” in my sport. I shall have to think of something 🙂

  13. Debbie,

This touched my heart and thanks again for this valuable reminder that we shouldn’t only look at the perfections but also the small imperfections that actually helped us get through life’s challenges and stand up as what we are now. Loved this lesson.

    Thank you.

    • Thanks Tyrone. Glad that you enjoyed this lesson. Life can be challenging, but at the same time it can be great with the right attitude. We just have to remember that we all have those imperfections. this makes us human.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts., They are always appreciated.,

  14. What a wonderful video – it had me choking back the tears, especially as my own husband is a terrible snorer and although it annoys me when he keeps me awake this video will remind me just how precious he is to me. This is such a great lesson to learn. It’s often people’s imperfections that make them so special – after all we all think our children are special despite their imperfections don’t we, so why shouldn’t we apply the same to other people too.

    • Hi Helen,

You are so right. We do think our children are special despite their imperfections, so why don’t we think this way about there father or mother? I love that video too. Those little funny things about others is what makes them so very special.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It is very much appreciated.
      Blessing,
      Debbie

    • Helen, just wanted to let you know that you have some really funny t-shirts on your site. Thanks for sharing them
