How Do I Feel About Who I Am?

I believe that God creates all of us, and in his eyes we are perfect!  We are just the right size; we are beautiful inside and out!

Than that wonderful creation gets blown away as we listen to what others say about us and we believe it as the years go by.  Not a very pretty picture.

“God so loved the world that he gave is only begotten Son for us.”

WOW!  Would you want to have to watch one of your children die for other people and then they say, “Why did you do that, I’m not worthy of it?

When we don’t like ourselves and have low self-esteem this is what we are telling God.

Are we doing ourselves and God justice?  Not so much!

When we start losing our self-esteem by listening to others and our own self talk what we are really saying is, “God didn’t know what he was doing when he made me.”

Let us think about our own children in the way that our Lord thinks about us.

We have that perfect baby, he/she is beautiful, and you have never seen anything in your life so beautiful and perfect.  And if anyone tries to tell you any different what they say falls on deaf ears.  You know in your heart that your baby is beautiful and perfect; no one is going to convince you otherwise!

When we don’t have self love and good self-esteem for ourselves we are really telling God that he screwed up. (When you look at your own child, would you like to hear someone say, that you screwed up?)

What a bunch of “Hog Wash” God does not make junk and he does not make mistakes.

As you look at yourself in the mirror every morning know that you are special. Learn to love yourself the way God Loves you.

Good self-esteem makes for good relationships and long lasting ones.

If you cannot see what a nice loving person you are, how do you expect someone else to see it?

We have to LOVE OURSELVES first.  Let us start by “Taking Command of Our Self-Esteem”.

Self-Esteem makes us more comfortable with ourselves as a person.  It gives us the clarity of mind to make confident judgments, trusting ourselves to make the right decisions at the right time.  It enables us to step out with pride, knowing that we are acting in the right way.

We owe good self-esteem to our Maker, our Savior and ourselves, so ladies and gentlemen there is no time like the present to boost that self-esteem and become the best we can be.  The world is waiting for the real you!

Know that you are a deserving human being!

Know that your opinion matters and is important!

Know when to stand up for yourself!

By having good self-esteem the world is your playground.

Go out and have some fun, be happy and love this life that you have been given and let your relationships bloom (after all isn’t that what spring is about?). “Take Command of Your Self-Esteem”;  get rid of that sweet little kitten and let the lion come out in you.

So burn it up baby and take command of your future.  It is waiting for you!

Burn it up baby – You got it my friend Debbie!

Nothing like amazing self esteem to know that you are good enough and that life is to be lived in all it’s possibilities – good, bad and indifferent. I’m with you in saying that we are made after God’s image and he is love so we are love.

The world deserves for us to love ourselves first and then our fellow man.

Living in the River of Love,
Beat will know what this means,
    Nancy

    • Hi Nancy,

With that said let us go out and spread the love. We have both climbed up the self=esteem ladder without falling off and having to start all over. now it is time to show who ever may be of need the help they need to start climbing that ladder. let us burn it up and shine our lights.
Guess I shall go ask Beat what you mean by “Living in the River of Love.”

Blessings to you Nancy and have a wonderful weekend,
      Debbie

  2. Hi Debbie,

Very inspiring. I love this line – “So burn it up baby and take command of your future.” That says it all. Self esteem is very important in life. When we let go of our fears and live our life without apology, we will find the life we are seeking. Thanks for the reminder.

    • Hi Cathy,

This is very true, “When we let go of our fears and live our life without apology, we will find the life we are seeking.” I like that Cathy. Thank you for adding to the post.

  3. “So burn it up baby and take command of your future. It is waiting for you!” Ha–that is a great line. Really great! I can feel it coming across cyberspace like a rocket!

    • Hi Galen,

I have to admit I like that line too. It is like the engines of a car roaring up and it just gets those juices flowing and gives you strength. Thanks
Galen hope it does rocket through cyberspace.

      Blessings to you always,
      Debbie

  4. Hi Debbie,

Self esteem is so very important nowadays especially with the economy being the way it is. Someone my think that just because they got passed over for a job or didn’t get that promotion, that they are not worth anything. It true that God does not make mistakes, but if your self esteem is low, it could be an admission to God that you need help. In this case I would recommend asking God what it is you can do bring a better sense of self worth in your life.

    • Hi Vic,

Yes, Vic, reaching out for help from God when we have low self-esteem is a great answer. God is the anchor to a good life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. They have really added to the post.

When it comes to the employment area, if we don’t get the job or promotion we want we have to realize that their is something better waiting for us. Not taking this person. With good self esteem we can sort through what NOT to take personal.
Thanks again and blessings coming your way!
      Debbie

  5. Hi Debbie,
‘What a bunch of “Hog Wash” God does not make junk and he does not make mistakes.” …great line.
We have a choice to either stand up, walk tall and be the best possible …..or lie down and be a victim…..I think the first choice is a no brainer. Thankyou for sharing.
    be good to yourself

  6. Hi Debbie,

You said it my friend. We are all true gift to the world and we are worthy of all that is beautiful and good. God wants to see us happy and prosperous. When we learn to be aware of our self talk, we can begin to think better thoughts that will help raise our self esteem. Great post as always Debbie, thanks for sharing

    • Hi Dia,

That self talk can really slow us down. It is so important to pay attention to the way to talk to ourselves. The meditation that you teach can help many over come the negative talk for better self esteem. Thanks Dia for sharing and blessings to you always,
      Debbie
